Two prestigious exhibitions are on in autumn, while waiting for Foto&Photo edition 2010. As usual, the venues are some of the most suggestive palaces of artistic value belonging to the Municipalities which promote the initiative.

Exhibitions:

“La moda scritta con la luce”

Epochs and fashion styles are “read” by five great Italian photographers who, from pure observers, become authors of a new, extraordinary creative phenomenon.
“La moda scritta con la luce”, which takes place in Palazzo Arese Borromeo in Cesano Maderno, proposes a collective. The reasoned selection shows the steps of a creative phenomenon the photographic objective was an active subject of.
A wide selection of the artists, whose works have built the history of the Italian fashion photography, guides the visitor to an ideal voyage from the first postwar period to our days.

Artists:
  • Pasquale De Antonis: pioneer of the Italian fashion photography, he uses his theatrical and cinematographic experience while shooting;
  • Alfa Castaldi: active in the field of journalistic reportage, successively he dedicates to the fashion photograph, working with stylists such as Giorgio Armani, Laura Biagiotti, Fendi, Gianfranco Ferrè;
  • Ugo Mulas: he renews fashion photography by creating a deep link with art;
  • Gian Paolo Barbieri: he turns real subjects into ideal images;
  • Paolo Roversi: he is characterized by intense and creative gestures which he refers to as “an act of love, a mystery, a witchcraft made by light”.

In Villa Mella (Limbiate), Villa Erba Odescalchi Scotti (Bovisio Masciago) and Villa Filippini Traversi (Besana in Brianza), are on three exhibitions of the following artists:
  • Marco Glaviano: his photos are made of plastic sensuality;
  • Aldo Fallai: his work consists in photos of symbolic lightness;
  • Piero Gemelli: in his photos sought balances are to be found.
